Отчего установленный в системе шрифт (канадское слоговое письмо отсюда) нормально отображается в IE и Firefox, но остаётся пустыми квадратиками в Google Chrome?
Хром не особенно грамотен в извлечении символов из правильных мест юникодной таблицы. Кроме этого, я бы попробовал сменить используемые в нём по умолчанию шрифты, хотя и не припоминаю, есть ли такая возможность в этом браузере. Arial Unicode MS точно содержит полную таблицу.
сорри, туплю. возможно что Хром меняет шрифт на какой-то другой, прописанный у него в опциях как более предпочтительный (options / under the hood / customize fonts), в котором недостаёт этих нужных знаков. по умолчанию вроде бы у него всегда Times New Roman.
